Rowing Opportunities

Rowing offers the athlete an opportunity to learn important life skills while enjoying the physical benefits of a physically demanding sport. Rowers learn focus, dedication to long range goals, and teamwork.

It has been said of the sport - it is truly a sport of gentlemen (and women)… it attracts men (and women) of goodwill…the idealist who believes that it truly is more blessed to give than to receive…the athlete who will ask "What can I give?" rather than one that asks "What is in it for me?"

For anyone who has been part of this sport at any level you know that is true. But the commitment oarsman make to themselves and their teammates to give it his or her best, to go all out and match that of the strongest teammate in the skull, is not without reward. Lifelong friendships are formed as you pull together to cross the finish line; and life lessons learned in a skull help make the youth of today successful tomorrow.

West Side Rowing Club offers a variety of programs to suit all ages and all skill levels. From crew camps that introduce youth to the sport to high school and club programs to NCAA collegiate programs to adult learn to row, recreational and master competitive programs, there is something for everyone at WSRC.
